Voluntary Assisted Dying: How did the Sunshine Coast vote?

This page has links to every Member of Parliament from the Sunshine Coast's speech on the topic of the Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill 2021, which was introduced to Queensland State Parliament on the 15th of September, 2021.

It's important to know what your local representative had to say on this topic.

The Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill was passed by the Palaszczuk Labor Government in 2021 after a careful and respectful debate where all Members were afforded a conscience vote.

The Bill will come into effect in 2023. You can read the Bill in its entirety here: Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill 2021

Thank you to everyone who contacted me on this groundbreaking piece of legislation. It was vital that we had robust community debate to make sure that a variety of opinions were heard.

I am proud to have voted yes and I am content that I was representing the great majority of the residents of the Sunshine Coast.
